I was recently selected out of over 200 other models for the Nike Fuel 2012 "Make It Count" campaign. At the shoot they had us playing various sports such as baseball, track & field, and basketball. Ironically, the photo they selected was that of me playing basketball. As most of you know prior to DC Politics, I was a basketball player at Temple University (Go Owls!).

You can find the posters all over New York City. This is the first campaign I have done in which I was walking down the street and saw myself. Pretty exciting stuff! The coolest part of this campaign is the Twitter integration used throughout the campaign. Putting my Twitter handle (@ValentinoRafael) on the poster made it that much more enjoyable.

This is the first time of many in which I will see myself on posters and billboards in New York City, and the world. Stay tuned!

Special thanks to those at the Blue Flame Agency and Sean John. I recently had the pleasure of being a featured model for Enyce's upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 clothing line. I posted a few behind the scenes photos in a post earlier this year.

Lil Wayne recently launched his new clothing line "Trukfit Clothing". I was one of the 8 metallic models who wore the clothes. Alot of YMCMB folks were there as well. Here are some photos and some links from the event.

I remember "Tha Mobb" Lil Wayne, but in this industry you have to learn how to "re-create yourself" (48 LoP- Law 25) over a span of time. All of the greats have done it, so it makes sense for Wayne to now transition into skater clothing.

Got some interesting news last night from my agent.

I decided I'd make this a promo post.. so here it goes:

Shout-out to my cousin D.L. Photography for editing the layout. It looks much sleeker now than before. We struggled with which we were going to use. We considered using the Inception -based header, but instead went with the one you see.
